On May 29th, 2015, I photographed a total of 80 homeless/housed homeless at Step-up On Second, Step-up Hollywood and around Los Angeles. My goal was to photograph them as I would with any client; allowing them to feel at ease and acknowledged. Each of the people photographed received copies of their photos. The photos are suppose to show the beauty and dignity of people who may have suffered a lot but whose lives are equal value to ours. The aim was to bring about respect and empathy for the homeless or even cause some controversy as they are a tad suffused in glamor.

These photos appeared on KTLA Channel 5 news (KTLA link) and published in The Art of Skid Row: Stories of LA’s Homelessness (Book Link).
